Job Description

  • The functional Program Management expert partners with the Director of Product Management to aid the delivery of astonishing results across multiple capabilities. The individual is a leader with an understanding of the process and system complexities and challenges to facilitating and continually aligning the solutions of a large organization
  • The Program Manager engages to provide solution level guidance and support to product management and other stakeholders, including identification and management of dependencies within and outside of the IT. The individual uses deep understanding of the key functional areas to devise the approach to achieve long-term and short-term solution-level goals, as well as to, on a more tactical level, coordinate and drive operational activities that cross multiple value streams to deliver the solution roadmap defined by Product Management
  • As a Program Management expert with deep functional knowledge, the individual will be able to work with the Product Management and delivery organizations to provide an assessment of impacted systems and processes relating to initiatives, as well as other functional and technical considerations, and assist with roadmap the creative thinking to circumvent any identified or potential impediments. In this enabling role, the individual can help leverage efforts across the ecosystem to increase speed to market while reducing duplication efforts. 
  • Work with various business groups to establish a sound business case for each of the projects. Participate in the definition of the requirements and creation of the solutions.
  • Define project scope and deliverables working across  business and IT organizations, including project definition, estimation, resource estimation, budget management, and scheduling.
  • Lead enterprise application and infrastructure cross-divisional global programs through their entire lifecycle
  • Estimate resource requirements, project activities, and dependencies
  • Create detailed project plans using industry standard methodologies
  • Coordinate activities and manage dependencies across various functional teams to support a highly collaborative work environment.
  • Manage prioritization decisions and change requests throughout the life of the project
  • Communicate key risks and issues to management and sponsors at all levels of the organization, and complete risk planning activities to mitigate and/or eliminate them.
  • Establish alliances with other departments and organizations
  • Manage day-to-day project activities and related meetings
  • Capture and report project status and ensure the project management information systems are maintained with accurate and current information
  • Deliver assigned projects on time, on scope, and on budget

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree required, Masters preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile certifications desired
  • 10+ years of IT/Business experience of which 7+ years of Project/Program Management in a global enterprise professional environment, with minimum of 3 full life cycle enterprise implementations.
  • Experience managing local and remote team members (20+) on programs of at least twelve months duration
  • Experience in a regulated GMP environment with both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Experience with project execution involving mergers and acquisitions highly desired
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio. Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Office365, highly desired
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of IT technologies and practices
  • Ability to explain and champion technical concepts to a broad audience
  • Strong tactical and strategic thinking, and problem solving skills. Able to achieve big picture objectives while paying attention to details.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with little direction or direct supervision
  • Experience managing projects across geographical regions
  • Ability to function in a team-oriented environment and influence staff, colleagues, and superiors.
  • Ability to lead and motivate diverse project teams and juggle multiple tasks.
  • 20% travel

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree required, Masters preferred
  • 10+ years of IT project management experience in a global professional environment
  • Experience leading projects in a regulated GMP environment
  • Ability to work independently with little direction or direct supervision
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies. Proficient in MS Project or equivalent.
  • Experience managing local and remote team members (20+) on programs of at least twelve months duration
