Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with internal parts and sales departments/employees to resolve external customer accounts receivable issues;
  • Perform accounts receivable adjustments, bad debt write-offs, external customer refunds, invoicing corrections, and other transactions or reports according to company policies and procedures;
  • Collection of accounts receivable;
  • Collection of sales tax exemption forms;
  • Management of external customer accounts receivable;
  • Review incoming orders in relation to the status of external customer accounts;
  • Obtain and review credit information on new and existing external customers;
  • Extend credit to external customers subject to the goals of the xxxxx brand and within approval levels;
  • Adjust credit limits and manage credit holds, as necessary;
  • Forward credit/collection concerns to Senior Credit Associate (where applicable), Treasury Analyst and/or Corporate Controller, as appropriate;
  • Stay current on all applicable laws and maintain relationships with outside credit agencies;
  • Apply cash received from external customers to Accounts Receivable
  • Perform daily invoicing to external customers
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Work Experience

· High School Diploma or associate degree in Accounting (or related field) and/or ten (10)+ years of direct work experience without formal education;

· Position typically expects six (6) to ten (10) years of direct/relevant experience based on scope of position;

· Experience in SAP preferred;

· Prior experience in manufacturing a plus;

· Proficiency in judgment and problem-solving skills;

· Well-developed communication skills to work with individuals from multiple departments, locations, and customers;

· Ability to demonstrate proficiency with PCs and in using current Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP software;

· Must possess typing skills for accurate data entry;

· Ability to demonstrate proficiency in interpersonal skills including effective collaboration and communication skills; ability to work in a team-oriented environment, showing a positive attitude;

· Ability to adapt to ever-changing work priorities and environment; ability to multitask;

· Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in all work.


Physical and Mental Requirements

· You will be expected to occasionally (1% to 20% of the time):
    • Lift objects from one level to another (30 lbs. or less)
    • Carry objects (30 lbs. or less)
    • Stand on your feet
    • Stoop/crouch by bending your legs or bending down/forward at the waist
    • Reach by extending the hands/arms

· You will be expected to frequently (21% to 50% of the time):
    • Walk around the facility on foot
    • Add, subtract, multiply, divide and record, balance, and check results for accuracy

· You will be expected to constantly (at least 51% of the time):
    • Sit in a normal seated position
    • Understand, remember, apply, and communicate oral and/or written instructions or information
    • Understand and follow basic instructions
    • Organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology
    • Apply common sense
